OpenWalkAthens by atenistas

The atenistas OpenWalkAthens (OWA) is a walk that intends to help Athenians get to know hidden and unknown parts of the city and its people. The sixth consecutive OWA comprises of locations in the center that we walk by every day but may never have been made aware of the treasures that are hidden within them, in their basements and on their rooftops. The purpose of the OWA is to showcase these points and inform the citizens of Athens of the invisible treasures of the city.

How it works:
It is simple. Get your map from the starting point and walk freely with your friends passing by the selected points which will be open especially for the walk. At each location, talk with those in charge of the site, take a tour and learn about the location’s history. As is the case with every event of the atenistas, participation in the OWA is free.
