This year, Athens apart from the capital of Greece, is also the World Capital of Book.
Celebratory nights with great artists and composers, with the participation of leading singers, musicians, actors and the interventions of important people from the field of Letters and Arts, tour the paths of the adventurous journey of the poem. The main tribute of this year’s event is “Poetry Poetry”.
The 47th Book Festival is organized by the Association of Book Publishers and the Organization of Culture, Sport and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) in collaboration with ERT, the National Theater, the National Theater of Northern Greece, the Theater Art of Karolos Koun and the Athenian Artistic Network. It is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Municipality of Athens and the Hellenic Foundation for Culture and the support of the Zappeion Megaron. It takes place within the framework of the Athens 2018 – World Book Capital.
